Encyclopedia Britannica defines corporatism as “the theory and practice of organizing society into “corporations” subordinate to the state.” Based on this theory, “workers and employers would be organized into industrial and professional corporations serving as organs of political representation and controlling to a large extent the persons and activities within their jurisdiction.” By definition, Corporatism is another term for Fascism. Even Fascist Benito Mussolini said that “Fascism should rightly be called Corporatism, as it is the merger of corporate and government power.”
Since the basic premises and principles of Fascism and Corporatism are just or almost the same, it is then safe to conclude that both or the latter is opposed to or is not the same as capitalism. Capitalism or free market capitalism is a political and economic system that calls for the separation of state and economy and upholds individual rights, limited government, rule of law, and economic freedom. It is wrong to claim that corporatism and capitalism are just the same (and this is what most leftists say) because the second does not permit anyone or any group or corporation to pervert the powers of the state or to arbitrarily gain undue political influence due to the principles of limited government and rule of law. I tackled this issue in this posthttp://fvdb.wordpress.com/2010/04/28/sicko-leftist/
As to antitrust law, this proposal must be opposed and rejected because it is non-objective and against economic freedom. I tackled this topic in the following posts:
I have not fully studied this issue. But what can we do? We don’t have any military and economic capability to deal with China. Whether we own that piece of shit is no longer the issue here. Instead of whining about China’s bullying, we’d rather improve our economy by doing the RIGHT THING.
But what the heck is the right thing to do? Before it’s not yet too late we have to correct our national, political mistakes. To improve our economy we must achieve the following:
- Change the charter and then establish a capitalist economy by limiting the powers of the government, repealing regulations and protectionist policies, lowering taxes, lower spending, and most importantly defining the proper concept of “rights”.
- Guarantee economic freedom.
- Uphold the rule of law.
- Protect property rights and individual rights.
- Focus on military.
I believe these are the only ways for our country to achieve economic and then military success.
